About this Performance

On Saturday, March 11, 2023 – 7:30 PM and Sunday, March 12, 2023 – 3:00 PM, the Grand Junction Symphony Orchestra (GJSO) will perform Classical Goes West under the musical direction of guest conductor Renee Noel Gilliland, who is the first female GJSO conductor to take the stage! The program for this concert consists of The Magnificent Seven Symphonic Suite by Elmer Bernstein, The Rose of Sonora by George Clinton with guest soloist, violinist, Holly Mulcahy, Gabriel’s Oboe from The Mission by Ennio Morricone, and Billy the Kid Suite by Aaron Copland.
