$25,000 Challenge Grant honoring the Symphony Foundation’s 25th Anniversary Season was exceeded!
To celebrate the Grand Junction Symphony Foundation’s 25th Anniversary, a $25,000 Challenge Grant from the Dave and Mary Wood Fund was presented to us in September 2018. The Fund is managed by the Western Colorado Community Foundation (WCCF).
As the news rippled through the community, people rallied to secure the Challenge Grant. Donations of $45,085 from 64 couples and individuals matched and surpassed the $25,000 Challenge Grant. The result was an outstanding $70,085 boost to the Symphony Foundation! A sincere thank-you to the fine donors, who are listed in the Symphony Orchestra’s February 2019 program.
The Foundation’s endowment fund generates an annual payout to the beloved Orchestra of about $40,000. As the Foundation makes progress toward its goal of $5,000,000, the payout will grow towards $200,000 annually – a vital supplement for the Orchestra’s budget.
$1 million goal surpassed – on to a new goal
The Symphony Foundation’s $1,000,000 campaign goal was exceeded in 2018! Now the endowment fund generates an annual payout to the Orchestra of about $40,000. As the Foundation makes progress toward its new goal of $5,000,000, the payout will grow towards $200,000 annually – a vital supplement for the Orchestra’s budget.
