The Western Colorado Chorale joins GJSO on stage, while the dynamic soprano, Amanda Batista, takes the spotlight in a program the will put a voice to our boldest season ever.
The evening opens with the majestic Prelude to Die Meistersinger by Richard Wagner, setting the stage for a concert that will echo with the powerful tones of bold voices. Richard Strauss’ enchanting “Morgen!” and “Cäcilie” from op. 27, No. 2 and No. 4 will fill the air, demonstrating the diverse range of soprano Amanda Batista. Ralph Vaughan Williams’ Benedicite and Giacomo Meyerbeer’s captivating “Robert toi que j’aime” from Robert le Diable further punctuate this musical experience.
