"The Foundation would never have grown as it has without Jack's early advice and expertise in investing."

Wanda Putnam, Founding Member of the Grand Junction Symphony Trust

Jack Roberts, 1931-2021

John “Jack” Roberts died April 1st, 2021, at ninety years old. Jack was one of the founding members of the Grand Junction Symphony Trust, now the Grand Junction Symphony Foundation, and acted as treasurer and financial advisor at its beginning. “The Foundation would never have grown as it has without Jack’s early advice and expertise in investing,” according to Wanda Putnam, another founding member.

Jack arrived in Grand Junction with his wife Jan in 1984, as a retiree. Over thirty years they participated in many organizations, giving their time, talents and money as prominent members of our community.

In 2015, Jack and Jan moved to Flagstaff, AZ to be near family. Jack would have the satisfaction of knowing his efforts years earlier mattered during COVID-19 limitations. Foundation funds have helped the orchestra continue to plan, give concerts when possible and maintain readiness for a full schedule.

The Foundation is grateful for Jack Roberts, and we extend our sympathy to his family.

Jack’s family has suggested the GJ Symphony Foundation for memorial contributions. Please mail your memorial contributions in Jack Robert’s name to:
