The Grand Junction Symphony Orchestra is pleased to present our first annual Gardens of Note, Garden Tours starting this weekend, June 5-6. There are eight homes on the tour, each landscaped beautifully by Dragonfly Gardens. Purchase a ticket to enjoy all of the homes from 10am-2pm on, both, Saturday and Sunday. Tickets are only $25.

Each home offers unique landscaping that compliments the homes as well as the surrounding landscape. Bill pulls inspiration from the mountains and the Monument, incorporating native plants with other plants that thrive in the area, creating masterful work that is sure to inspire your next landscape challenge. See varieties of butterfly bushes, cactus, and wildflowers; wander through scented gardens (where some of the plants smell like root beer!) and admire an incredible firepit overlooking one of the best views of the Bookcliffs in all of Grand Junction.

Special Events at the Homes:

At the home of Bob and Adele, 287 W. Morrison Court, Grand Junction, the GJ Symphony Guild will host a bake sale – both days! Be sure to bring extra cash to indulge in the delectable goods they are sure to have for sale.

At the home of Wildflowers, 2587 Fox Run, Grand Junction, take a few minutes to listen to the sounds of music played by Symphony musicians! Music will be provided by several GJSO musicians all day, both days.

Things to Note before you go:

You do not have to visit the homes in the order they are listed on the map. The numbers are merely a suggestion. Feel free to explore as you like!

There will be some uneven walk-ways through the gardens, so wear comfortable shoes!

The weather is predicted to be in full summer swing with temperatures hitting the 90’s. Some of the homes have more shade than others, however, be prepared to spend a lot of time in the sun. We advise that you wear sun protection including a hat, sunscreen, even bringing an umbrella.

There will be no water provided or sold on the tour, nor will there be any bathrooms to use at the homes. Please plan accordingly.

Parking will be available on the streets in front of the homes. We ask that you do not drive on the home’s driveways, as those areas may become congested.

Feel free to take all the photos you’d like! If you share them, tag us on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter! We’d love to see them!
