The Grand Junction Symphony Orchestra presents “Celebration of Strings.” This 25-musician, all string-instrument concert will perform twice at the Avalon Theatre, first performance will be on Saturday, April 10, at 7:30p and, the second on Sunday, April 11, at 3 pm. This concert will be all general admission with limited seats sold to accommodate the current COVID19 restrictions. Please wear a mask and adhere to 6-ft social distancing guidelines while in the Avalon Theatre.
The GJSO is proud to present this beautiful variety of string pieces by several wonderful composers featuring a small ensemble of GJSO musicians. Selections Include: Adagio for Strings by Samuel Barber, Mother and Child by William Grant Still, and Serenade for Strings, Op. 12 by Victor Herbert.
All tickets will be General Admission and will cost $35. Tickets are available now for purchase.
There will also be a virtual streaming option for those who do not feel comfortable attending the concert in-person or for those who would like to watch it again. This online stream will NOT be live, but will be available for you to watch from home starting Friday, April 16.
To view the concert online, you’ll need an online streaming ticket, available for just $10. You only need to purchase one online streaming ticket per household.
After your purchase, you will receive an email on Monday, April 12 to the address you provided during the purchasing process. This email will contain a link that takes you to the webpage to view the concert. You can watch the program on any device capable of viewing a YouTube video — laptops, smartphones, smart TVs, tablets, etc. should all work just fine.
The video will remain available for you to watch anytime, and as many times as you want, from April 16-30, 2021.
